Sam’s birthday trip to Disney was this past weekend and it was glorious.
On the way there, it was Disney Soundtracks all the way.
Day one was spent by the pool. We didn’t go in, and I’m so glad because everyone was evacuated out because a little kid POOPED in the water. The Disney pool peeps couldn’t confirm this.. they only could say it was ‘maintenance’, but that was some pretty serious impromtu maintenance if you ask me…
Anyway, we had a lovely time at Downtown Disney and finished the evening with birthday beignets and play time at ESPN Zone. YAY SPORTS!
Day two was our day in the park, and it was just great. Face paints, lots of rides, lots of sweating, and like dozens of baby ducks. Did all the Disney ducks get together and say ‘Now’s the time for babies’? Cuteness overload. Sam dressed as Snow White, which, combined with her birthday button, got her all the attention a person deserves on their birthday. [a lot].
One of my favorite artists was also being featured at the Main Street Art Gallery, so we stopped in to peeky peek.
We had an obscene about of BBQ for dinner at the Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue, and danced about at the Mad T Party… Well Sam and I did – my dad made use of the large chairs in the area.
We didn’t get home until about 1am, but it was completely worth it.
