It’s amazing how much time we, as humans, spend in the bed when you think about it… Add up all the hours you sleep at night, all the naps you take, and all the times you are sick in bed… its a lot.

And yet, even though this vast amount of bed-time takes place, I still can’t wait to get under those covers every night.

Something about the weight of the blankets, the warming up of the toes, and the smushy wonderfulness of the pillows just always makes it an experience worth looking forward too.

Tonight, I shall be reading my Sugar and Spice, watching a bit of F.R.I.E.N.D.S, and drifting off to the sound of rainfall courtesy of my sound-soother.

Sweet dreams…. Zzzzz.

  1. i love this scene from breakfast at tiffany’s :]haha last night i went to bed early and still barely woke up before 10. i slept sooooo long!and this post reminded me of a book i read last year (i think it was humility by cj mahaney) that said that the necessity for sleep is an example of our dependence on God, we can’t do without it and we have to trust in Him that we wake up the next morning.

  2. Haha it’s very true. Bed is just so comfy. It’s like sleeping in an engulfed hug. Ooh Christine, I like that a lot.
